I studied ‘Printed Surface Pattern Design’ at college and in the past have worked as a print technician and then as an Art Teacher guiding students through using new processes and techniques to create their own artworks.
Now I am a practicing artist and my path it would seem has come full circle, as my passion for drawing is often the basis for experimenting with different forms of print-making.
Over the past few years I have worked for ‘Time for Art’, a charity which provides workshops for groups of people that have difficulty accessing Art. Art can bring therapeutic benefits to a wide audience and just being creative can enhance our daily lives by being and doing, which makes us focus 'in the moment' and brings a mindfulness element to the table.
Another benefit of the workshops can be sharing ideas and problem solving, making it a team building experience, helping us to gain confidence and make connections in other areas of our lives.
I am enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and skills to bring enjoyment, advancement and confidence to the creative practices of others, in the classroom, through workshops, and through individual tuition.
